Upcycled creative, endless scalability
Kuiper & Huygen is Yond Studio’s first fully self-produced series, born of an experiment in building original IP by stretching our storytelling muscles without the guard rails of a client brief.
The result? An animated cosmic odd couple navigating equally odd ideas through a universe that’s entirely our own.
Crafting
Story
Rather than writing from scratch, each episode is stitched together from recycled snippets of existing commentary recycled from our social media "Yond On' segments. These disparate fragments are given new life and creative context as dialogue for our characters, forming the backbone of an episode .
It’s a creative constraint that sparks unexpected narrative wormholes that are a delight to explore.
Scalable
Designs
With a continuous series like this, versatility is key, and our character designs are no exception. Kuiper and Huygen had to be purpose-built for speed, personality, and of course, endless scalability.
Their final, fully rigged designs allow the team to animate efficiently and consistently across multiple episodes, without losing the quirks that make them feel like the goofs that they are.
Marketing Spotlight
Launching your own original IP also means building your own audience.
