To ensure Birdie could seamlessly adapt to various environments, we created a rig system that offered limitless posing options and precise control over shading, ensuring the character perfectly matched the in-camera lighting from shot to shot.

We began with character styling exploration to determine what shading suited Birdie best, followed by rough composites over test footage to consider the full effect within the context of scenes
